St Lythans burial chamber also known as Maes y Felin 'Mill in the Field' is located in
a field (ST100722) to the south of Tinkinswood burial chamber, near the village of
St Nicholas. The earth mound that originally surrounded this stone structure has been
removed. The chamber is aligned east-west with its entrance faceing east. The capstone
measures 14ft by 10ft by 2.5ft and is supported by three upright stone slabs. The rear
stone has a rounded hole or 'spirit hole'. Pottery and cremated remains have been recorded
from this chamber.
